The museum was conceived as a space whose dynamism would be defined by rotating temporary exhibitions. However, some pieces from the Würth Spain Collection were created as site-specific works (and therefore quasi-permanent), such as The Three of Us by Welsh sculptor Richard Deacon and Libro de Calibres by Miquel Navarro in our sculpture garden, or Proyecto Würth by Darío Urzay in the museum's interior.
The emblematic piece of the small permanent section of the Würth Spain Collection is Lillie (2006), a monumental wooden sculpture by artist Manolo Valdés, which has become the museum's signature identity. Its pictorial counterpart, Doble Retrato (Valdés, 2007), completes Valdés' fascination with Matisse in the museum’s main atrium.
The exhibited works rotate temporarily, redefining the museum's exhibition space. As a result, pieces by Juan Asensio, Manuel Ballester, or Blanca Muñoz can be viewed as part of the museum's exhibition discourses. Alongside them, the small permanent selection of the Würth Spain Collection holdings is complemented by sculptural works from Xavier Mascaró (Cultural Object XVIII, 2006), Koldobika Jauregi (Kantu Ixila and Kantu Ixila X, 2006), Félix Reyes (Conversación, 2008), and Ramón Cerezo (Vacío del Cilindro 20, 2007). All of them, through their distinct artistic approaches, help shape the artistic environment of the Würth La Rioja Museum.
